Signed Card 1889
WALT WHITMAN (1819-1892) was an American poet, essayist, journalist, and humanist. He was a part of the transition between Transcendentalism and realism, incorporating both views in his works. Very fine, bold signature penned in black ink on a beige card: “Walt Whitman March 27 1889”. With original etching by artist Jacques Reich.
