Signed Photo - 2012
Signed 8"x10" color photograph of Austrian skydiver, daredevil and BASE jumper Felix Baumgartner (1969-). After flying to an altitude of 128,100 feet (39,045 meters) in a helium-filled balloon over New Mexico, Felix Baumgartner completed a record breaking jump from the edge of space, exactly 65 years after Chuck Yeager first broke the sound barrier flying in an experimental rocket-powered airplane. Felix reached a maximum speed of 843.6 mph through the near vacuum of the stratosphere before being slowed by earth's atmosphere during his 4-minute and 20-second long freefall. In doing so he also broke two other world records (highest freefall, highest manned balloon flight), leaving the one for the longest freefall to project mentor Col. Joe Kittinger.
The number following his signature is Felix's nickname, BASE 502, the registration code assigned to him in 1998 by the American B.A.S.E. Association. In-person signing.
