Lovely postcard dated September 3, 1974 from famed Anglo-American novelist Christopher Isherwood. To Robert Allen Jr of Lewiston, Maine, it reads: “Dear Mr. Allen, Thank you so much for your kind birthday wishes. I did indeed have a very nice birthday, of the kind I enjoy. I went in swimming, got some beautiful presents and saw (for the 3rd time) the film ‘2001.’ The night before, there was a party and we drank margaritas—just the right number! With regards to you and your wife, Christopher Isherwood.”
