Signed color photo of Leonard Nimoy as the Vulcan Mr. Spock, first officer of the USS Enterprise, in the 1966-1969 TV series Star Trek. Spock’s Vulcan salute became a recognized symbol of the show, accompanied by the blessing “Live long and prosper,” and eventually becoming recognized worldwide. Nimoy created the sign himself from his childhood memories of the way kohanim (Jewish priests) held their hand when giving blessings.
